30 days Strategy for NIMCET - Tips & Schedule

How to study for NIMCET  in the last few days?

KEEP CALM Warriors!

I just feel entrance exam aspirants are not less than warriors!

Hey, future NITian! Keep calm. I know it's hard, but trust yourself you're gonna give your best shot.

#Tip 1: Entrance exams are not about completing the syllabus, it's about revision.

It's ok if you've not studied all the chapters. It's ok if you have covered only 50% of the topics. Yes, it's really OKAY. Don't try to learn anything new in these last few days. Just give your whole time to revision only. Whatever you have learned till now is enough! So, just go through your notes of each and every chapter one more time. [Last timeπŸ˜‰]

#Tip 2: Do NIMCET & JEE previous year papers

This is the most important thing you should do in your last few days. I know you must have already done NIMCET previous year papers, but trust me, doing it one more time, will not harm you right? Also, try to do JEE main previous year maths questions as much as you can. You'll see 4-5 ques in NIMCET are of JEE main previous year only. It would be around 30 questions in 1 paper of JEE main. So starting from the most recent JEE main paper try to cover as many papers as you can.

#Tip 3: Don't forget Reasoning & Computer section

Yes! You have to give your time to Reasoning & Computer as well in your last few days. You must be thinking, how will you do so much study in the last few days. Don't worry! In the end, I've attached my schedule which I followed in the last month of preparation and eventually landed in MNNIT Allahabad.

#Schedule (You can follow)

I'm not an early morning person 😢 (If you know me, you must know this fun fact about me)
So, I used to study at night only. But if you're habitual of studying in the early morning, that's even better! Keep following that. Here's my schedule:
  • 11:00 am - 01:00 pm: 1 JEE Main Previous year paper (30 ques)
  • 02:00 pm - 04:00 pm: 1 NIMCET Previous Year
  • 05:00 pm - 07:30 pm: Reasoning
  • 08:00 pm - 09:00 pm: Computer [ Last 10 days ] otherwise Reasoning / Revision
  • 10:00 pm - 12:00 am: Revision of Maths Important Concepts
  • 12:00 am - 02:00 am: JEE Main Previous Year Paper (30 ques)
Why 2 hours for just 30 questions of JEE?
First 1 hour - try to solve all the problems by yourself & mark unsolved.
Next 30 min - Give another try for unsolved ones.
Next 30 min - Look at the solution and solve it by yourself.

Note: Just make sure you don't leave any questions as doubt in this phase. I know, Not being able to solve questions by this time is very disheartening but it's fine. Cheer up! look at the approach, solve it by yourself and get ready to smash it up if it comes in your actual exam. That's the main goal right!

And one more thing if you've already made your schedule and that's working for you, no need to switch to this. This worked for me that's why I shared.πŸ˜…

Thanks!
